Breakfast
Guests have mixed opinions on the breakfast options at Thyme. While some praise it as absolutely brilliant, delicious and of amazing quality, others find it basic and limited in choice. Some wished for more options, such as pancakes or a veggie breakfast and found the menu expensive and limited. Guests who dined at the hotel for both dinner and breakfast enjoyed the lovely food, but expressed disappointment that breakfast wasn't included in the rate price. Some minor issues were raised, such as slow coffee service and the butter not being served automatically. Overall, while the breakfast received mixed opinions, guests found the food at Thyme to be great and of a high standard.

Dinner
Thyme's on-site restaurant, the Ox Barn, is a must-visit for travellers who appreciate exceptional cuisine. Multiple guests have raved about the amazing food with many describing it as outstanding. The converted barn creates a lovely space for both the restaurant and the bar, though some reviewers highlighted their disappointment at the bar's closure during their stay. The delicious dinner options were a common theme, although some felt the menu was over-complicated and could have had more plant-based options. However, the breakfast options were also highly recommended by some guests. Service in the restaurant was a mixed bag with some describing it as slow during breakfast and others noting that the waitress didn't understand the menu. While some guests found the Ox Barn to be expensive, many felt that the food and drinks were flawless. Despite a few negative reviews, most agreed that the food was amazing, making the Ox Barn the perfect location for a lovely evening meal in the restaurant.

Rooms
The rooms at Thyme are a mixed bag with some guests raving about fantastic and beautifully designed spaces while others are left disappointed with the size or limited amenities. The location and scenery are consistently praised, as well as the comfortable beds. Some guests note that practical considerations are lacking in their rooms, such as no glassware or full-length mirrors. There were a few complaints about lack of privacy and lighting in some of the rooms. On the positive side, some rooms come with stylish decor and lovely outdoor spaces, like a little garden with a fire pit. However, bathrooms seem to be a common concern with several guests noting that they need updating and plumbing issues in some suites. While some guests found the rooms to be of great value, others thought they were too small with poor lighting and furnishing, unworthy of the rates. Some visitors also wished for more privacy and hanging space for their clothes. Fortunately, the location and service have received consistent praise and those who stay at the hotel's restaurant hotel should have an all-around enjoyable experience.

Pool
Guests have had mixed experiences with the pool at Thyme. While some have described it as stunning and beautiful, others have found it slightly cold and wanted additional amenities such as a hot tub, sauna and steam room. The outdoor pool was popular with some choosing to swim even in colder weather, while others felt an indoor pool or jacuzzi would be better on rainy days. COVID precautions were well-organized, but some guests felt that room service should be available by the pool. Despite some drawbacks, the pool and spa received positive reviews overall, alongside the hotel's Ox Barn restaurant.
