The rooms are clean, spacious and modern and the bathrooms are spotlessly clean. The staff are pleasant and make sure that everything is spot on with rooms cleaned to a very high standard every day. However, some guests noted that there was no water in their room and some rooms were quite poor with doors in need of paintwork. Additionally, the hotel was very busy and all areas were used for dining, bar areas, etc. As a result, there may be no availability for dinner on Saturday night and there may be no place to sit for a drink as the lobby area is always full. Despite some minor issues, Great Southern Killarney is a very clean and tidy hotel with thorough cleanliness evident throughout the property.
