Some even complained about poor quality food and excessively high prices. But don't let that discourage you; the overall consensus is that the food is of excellent quality. Just be prepared to pay a 15% tip included in your meal's cost. All in all, the dining experience at Cala de Mar Resort & Spa Ixtapa offers plenty of opportunities to enjoy delicious meals and make lasting memories.

The Cala de Mar Resort & Spa Ixtapa boasts of amazing rooms with private pools and balconies that offer spectacular views of the ocean. Each room has its own private terrace and pool, perfect for those who prefer to relax in the comfort of their own space. The beds are exceptionally comfortable, although some guests noted that a few mattresses were a bit old. Nonetheless, the hotel and rooms are still amazing and very clean throughout. Guests loved the infinity pools in the room, but some found them deeper than expected. The family suite may need another way to secure the shared alcove door. Despite this, the completeness of the rooms makes it unnecessary to leave. The amenities offered by the hotel are also commended. Overall, the incredible views coupled with the spacious and comfortable rooms make a stay at Cala de Mar Resort & Spa Ixtapa well worth it.

The Cala de Mar Resort & Spa Ixtapa boasts an amazing private pool and balcony in each room. Guests can enjoy the divine, large pools with spectacular views of the sea. There are two pools, the tiled kidney bean shaped one is great while the other has a better view but is rough on the feet. The exterior walkway between the pools is pretty cool. Guests can also request to have their room pool heated. Although some guests wished for more attention in moving the umbrellas around the pool area, overall, the attention to personalized service is incredible. The rooms are so incredible that guests hardly feel the need to leave their room with the amazing pool and views. The size and price of the hotel should translate into minimal problems. And for some guests, even Albert at the pool was enjoyable!
