Breakfast
When staying at Kingsmills Hotel, guests can't help but be impressed by the breakfast on offer. The buffet breakfast is a particular highlight with plenty of choice including freshly cooked options and continental favourites. While some guests found the side plates too small, others were blown away by the excellence of the ingredients used. With endless amounts of food to choose from, it's no wonder that many guests felt that breakfast was excellent or even the best they'd ever had. Highlights included a great selection of buffet breakfast items, delicious scrambled eggs and smoked salmon and even the best haggis ever. While some guests found the options to be limited, the overall consensus was that the breakfast had a wide range of choice that provided great value for money. Finally, guests appreciated the fact that they could choose between self-service or table service and that the staff were always on hand to make sure everything was perfect.

Dinner
Guests of the Kingsmills Hotel enjoyed an excellent dinner experience with delicious food and outstanding quality wine. The breakfast was also of good quality. Though the dinner menu had some restrictions, the food was lovely with some labelling it as a five-star meal experience. However, one guest had a negative experience with an undercooked risotto dish. The restaurant was also deemed expensive with one guest unhappy about additional tray service charges. Despite this, some guests found the meal prices to be reasonable, especially for meals in the lounge. Overall, the hotel received high marks for the quality of the meals with many describing them as fabulous or outstanding, especially their Christmas Day meal. The friendly staff provided great service in both reception and the restaurant, making for excellent value and a fine hotel experience.

Rooms
Kingsmills Hotel boasts a range of comfortable and spacious rooms, some of which include two modern bathrooms! The classic-style rooms offer modern bathrooms and some rooms come equipped with a sofa area to sit and relax. The comfortable beds with quality bedding ensure a good night's sleep and the bathrooms are well stocked and clean. The wooden floors instead of carpet and thick fluffy towels add to the luxurious feel of the rooms. Friendly and courteous staff are always willing to help and guests can enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the hotel with lovely little gem spots for relaxation. There were a few minor issues with regards to an outdated room, WiFi weakness in some areas and room temperature control, but overall, the rooms are spacious, comfortable, clean and cosy.

Beds
The Kingsmills Hotel is a haven for those who love to sleep on ultra-comfy beds. Guests were delighted with the large, spacious and comfortable beds that the hotel has to offer with many raving about the super king beds that are three pillows wide! The rooms themselves were also spacious and lovely with some guests specifically mentioning how they appreciated the king size beds. Additionally, the exceptional staff added an extra layer of comfort and made guests feel welcomed. Overall, Kingsmills Hotel appears to be a great choice for travelers who want to catch up on some much-needed rest in a comfortable bed.

From the reception and restaurant to housekeeping and leisure spa, everyone is welcoming and accommodating. Even furry friends are made welcome with staff making a fuss of them. Visitors have mentioned individual staff by name who have made a positive impact on their visit, such as Rachel and Sabrina. Their knowledge of local attractions is confidently shared with guests. Overall, the team is exceptional and make the guests feel at home. The hotel's lovely surroundings and clean rooms are complemented by the welcoming ambiance created by the dedicated staff.

Spa
The Kingsmills Hotel boasts a lovely spa facility that includes a swimming pool, sauna and steam room. Guests have enjoyed fantastic treatments including hot stone massages. The spa facilities are well-maintained and spotlessly clean. The gardens add to the overall serenity of the experience and the spa service is highly recommended. Unfortunately, some guests were disappointed with a lack of information upon arrival and ended up missing out on spa treatments. Despite this, the spa itself is nothing short of amazing. However, some reviewers noted that the pool could be bigger and that the spa complex isn't quite what they expected from a hotel of this caliber. That said, Kingsclub and spa is still a great added value to this already nice hotel. Guests are especially impressed with the complimentary breakfast, which features a wide range of freshly cooked and tasty options. Finally, the convenience of having bathrobes and slippers in the room to walk to the pool is a nice touch.

Pool
The Kingsmills Hotel boasts a swimming pool that varied in size according to guests. Some reviewers found it too small for swimming, while others praised the clean and well-maintained pool. Families enjoyed the children's pool, which was perfect for kids to have fun in the water. The water temperature was appreciated, especially in winter months. However, some guests were disappointed with the lack of lounging chairs in the pool area and others noted that the pool was getting dated and needed updates. The Kingsmills Hotel's leisure facilities received mixed reviews. Some guests found them lovely and enjoyable, while others found them dire and disappointing. The sauna and jacuzzi were not always functioning correctly and some areas were not well-maintained, especially the changing rooms. Nonetheless, guests enjoyed the availability of a pool table and arcade games and some guests delighted in the breakfast available before using the swimming pool. Overall, the pool at the Kingsmills Hotel seemed to be a hit or miss for guests.

Family
The Kingsmills Hotel is the perfect family getaway with plenty of activities for kids to enjoy. Upon arrival, we were pleased to find a cot already set up in our comfortable and spacious room. The staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, taking the time to explain everything the hotel had to offer as well as attractions in the area. They even went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable, accommodating my wife who has Alzheimer's.

The Kingsmills Hotel is also very family and dog-friendly with a patio area for dogs and a large swimming pool for the kids. However, we did notice a lack of night lights by the children's bunk beds, which may be something to keep in mind. Additionally, while the hotel is exceptionally dog-friendly, some guests noted that an area where they could sit with their dog in a basket would be a great addition.

Overall, we had a wonderful stay at the Kingsmills Hotel and would highly recommend it to families looking for a comfortable and accommodating getaway. Just be aware that the WiFi can be dodgy and that a men's changing cubicle for kids may be handy.

Dog Friendly
Kingsmills Hotel is an exceptionally dog and family friendly hotel, providing excellent services, amenities and rules for your furry friends. The hotel has nice places to walk your dogs and even has a patio designed explicitly for dogs. The staff members are incredibly welcoming and accommodating to guests with dogs, making them feel right at home with personalized attention. The hotel has huge rooms perfect for families with outdoor access for dogs. The hotel's bar area welcomes dogs, making it convenient for dog owners not to leave their beloved pets behind. The hotel's patio rooms are a great idea for dog owners who want to experience the hotel's outdoor space while keeping their furry friends close.
