Dinner
Guests of the Budock Vean Hotel have given mixed reviews of the dinner options available at the restaurant. Most guests praise the quality and taste of the food with emphasis on the use of locally sourced ingredients and beautifully presented four-course menus. However, there are some concerns about the pricing and set menus with some wishing for more menu options or better communication about discounts. The dress code for the restaurant is also criticized as old-fashioned. Despite these minor issues, the overall quality of the food is described as exceptional with some guests raving about the superb and truly amazing cuisine. For those looking for a more relaxed dining experience, the bar offers a reasonable option. There are some complaints about overcooked or poorly flavored dishes, but these seem to be the exception rather than the norm. Many guests report great nights' sleep on the beds with some describing them as "exceptionally comfortable". Other guests appreciate the ample lounging options available with "loads of beds free to lounge in the sun". However, a few guests have had less comfortable experiences with some finding the pillows too soft or twin beds pushed together to make a double less cozy. Overall, guests seem to love how the comfortable beds contribute to a perfect stay at the hotel.

Cleanliness
The Budock Vean Hotel takes cleanliness seriously with many guests noting the immaculately clean rooms and excellent Covid-19 precautions. Hand sanitizers were plentiful throughout the hotel, although some guests did note that not all of them were working. The golf course was very well-maintained, although some guests felt that the grounds needed tidying. While most guests did not encounter any issues with cleanliness during their stay, a few did note some areas of their room that needed additional attention. Visitors have praised the spa treatments with one guest describing their aromatherapy massage as delightful and an incredible experience. The spa is designed to provide peacefulness and calm to its guests, making it an excellent country house spa hotel. However, some reviews do mention that the spa was difficult to book and that the schedule was full. Some guests also noted that the spa is lacking a steam room and feels dated. Despite this, guests generally speak highly of the spa with many stating that it was one of the highlights of their stay along with the food and service.

Pool
The Budock Vean Hotel offers a lovely pool area to its guests, which can be accessed through the hotel corridors. Guests can enjoy a refreshing swim or relax in the hot tub or outdoor hot tub, although some found the pool to be a little cold or in need of cleaning. The spa area, complete with swimming pool, sauna and jacuzzi, is a nice place to unwind in the evening and children have plenty of space to play. However, due to Covid restrictions, swimming and jacuzzi sessions need to be booked in advance and some guests experienced mix-ups with their pool bookings. The pool area itself is a bit tired and could use updating, but visitors noted the cozy poolside fireplace and appreciated the option to book a swimming lane or hot tub session. Overall, the pool and jacuzzi facilities received positive reviews, although some found the pools to be too cold, suggesting that the staff could improve the temperature. The hotel is perfect if you enjoy long walks or runs, as the grounds are amazing and the bay is a must-see. The rooms are spotless and well-furnished with some overlooking the golf course. The spa facilities are also good and the indoor pool is a nice bonus. The only downside is that club hire is temporary unavailable. Overall, Budock Vean Hotel is a perfect location for a relaxing getaway.

Indoor Pool
The Budock Vean Hotel boasts a beautiful indoor pool that is a good size for swimming. The spa area is also a lovely place with an indoor pool, sauna and jacuzzi. Guests found the leisure facilities to be great, often having the indoor pool to themselves as other guests didn't seem to make use of it. While some found the indoor pool a little dismal and dark, others loved it - especially with the log fire. It's interesting to note that the indoor pool was not mentioned in any reviews. However, the recent addition of the ability to book a swimming lane and hot tub session is a great feature during current restrictions. Unfortunately, the spa lacks a steam room and feels dated.
