Breakfast
The breakfast at Hatherley Manor Hotel & Spa received mixed reviews from guests. Some guests raved about the fabulous food, such as the unreal porridge and the amazing cooked breakfast options. Others, however, were disappointed by the basic buffet and the cold, overcooked breakfast items. Despite this, the hotel offers great facilities, including a self-serve continental breakfast and a variety of choices from cereals to a Full English Breakfast with an additional supplementary charge. Some guests also praised the biscuits in the room as a nice touch. The quality of breakfast ingredients was hit or miss with some guests rating it as excellent and others saying it could have been better. The cooked breakfast was varied and served swiftly, but the buffet style cooked breakfast was not good. Overall, while some guests would highly recommend the breakfast, others described it as the worst they've ever had. However, guests thoroughly enjoyed the food presented at breakfast and dinner times with many praising the evening meal as exceptional.

The food at Hatherley Manor Hotel & Spa's restaurant had mixed reviews from guests. While some found the evening meals to be exceptional and outstanding, others found it to be disappointing and below average. However, impeccable service was provided all around. A few guests found the portion size to be a little small and some found the food to be extremely expensive with additional costs for extras. The lunch was mentioned to be average at best. The bar had nice drinks, but closed quite early. Food and drink prices were toppy according to some. Ambience at the restaurant was great with white tablecloths and fabric napkins. Despite temporary set up, the food was good. Some had poor experiences with the food with descriptions like "sub-average" and "stone cold". One guest even compared their pork belly to "fatty rubber". Nevertheless, overall the hotel boasted of great food in their restaurant.

Some guests have reported issues with outdated and uncomfortable beds, carpets that are threadbare or dirty and rooms that are too small. That said, most of the rooms are spacious and comfortable and the staff are friendly and welcoming.

However, some guests mentioned that the spa was pretty crowded and had a strong chlorine smell. There were also comments that the staff in the spa were not helpful. Despite this, many guests still thoroughly enjoyed the spa and their treatments; one even called it the best spa facility they’ve visited. If you're looking for an onsite spa, this hotel is a great option. To improve the spa experience, some guests suggested bigger robes for spas and that children should not be allowed in the spa. Overall, guests had a range of experiences with the pool facilities, so it might be worth checking recent reviews before booking.

Some guests rave about the ease and convenience of parking, mentioning that there is plenty of parking available at no charge. In fact, the hotel even offers EV chargers at a reasonable price, a definite bonus for eco-conscious travelers. Others, however, note that there are some small spaces in the car park and that they had to park quite far from the reception. Additionally, a few guests pointed out litter on the car park and a lack of outdoor lighting to guide them to the car park on the side of the property. Despite these minor hiccups, guests largely agree that the addition of car chargers is a great feature and that overall parking is simple and stress-free.
