Is there anything that you would like to highlight, add or clarify? A. Renewable hydroelectric electricity from the mountain lakes in Geiranger and Tafjord is 80% of our energy use. B. 80% of our heating is supplied by an air to air heat converter which gives us 6Kw of heat per 1Kw of electricity. 20% of our heating is from modern thermostat steered electric panel ovens and 300ltr water boilers which all get their Power from renewable hydro-electric Sources 270mm of insulation in the attic, double glazing in all Windows, and 150-200mm of insulation in the outer walls have reduced Our Power consumption to a minimum. We drive a RAV 4 hybrid and Our Shuttle service from downtown Geiranger is therefore recirculated energy and 50% fossil fuel. C. The waterfalls from Grindalen valley are our source of clean drinking water. No electricity is used to pump it and we drink it from the tap. D. All household waste: glass, metal, plastic and paper is sorted and recycled. Coffee grounds and tea leaves are the sole biological fertilizer used on our bushes, whilst fermented sheep dung fertilizer is used for our fruit trees and blackcurrant bushes.
