Although it is around a 15-minute taxi ride to Funchal, the hotel staff are happy to organise this for you. There are also lovely walks across and around the property and golf course. A shuttle to Funchal makes exploring the town effortless and there is good access to nearby walks. Rooms are beautifully decorated and the gardens are absolutely stunning. However, guests noted that the hotel is not within walking distance of much else. The hotel is perfect for those seeking a quiet and picturesque stay, but a car is necessary to fully explore the area.
