With lovely views, great facilities and friendly staff, guests can enjoy comfortable and clean rooms, delicious breakfast and dinner options and ample parking along with good Wi-Fi. While the spa area and pool are not the highlight of the hotel, families with pets will find the hotel to be very accommodating. Some guests had issues with the quality of the beds and there were some cleanliness issues in some areas. Nonetheless, the hotel offers a relaxing and enjoyable experience for all.

One-Bedroom Apartment This suite provides a fully-equipped kitchen and a dining area alongside an en suite bedroom. It offers views over the valley and up the valley to Ling and Sale fells. The one-bed suites can easily accommodate travel cots.

Two-Bedroom Apartment This apartment provides two separate bedrooms with double or twin beds. It offers a large living area, a fully-equipped kitchen, a dining area and a private ground floor patio area with an outside table and chairs. An extra childs bed or cot can also be accommodated in each of the bedrooms.

Three-Bedroom Apartment This apartment features striking views of the Lakeland Fells and a fully fitted kitchen with a microwave and refrigerator. There is a whirlpool bath and a gallery floor with seating area. Also features free use of the pool and spa.

Double Room An en suite room with exposed beams and decorative stonework. Most have views looking across Derwent valley towards Ling and Sale fell. Each room has free Wi-Fi, a TV and 100% Egyptian cotton linen. This room can accommodate a cot and an extra bed for children in most of the rooms. Some of the rooms also accept dogs. Please inform the property when booking in the Special Request box should you require either of these.

Family Room (2 Adults + 2 Children) This family room provides 2 separate bedrooms through a single front door. The first bedroom being a double, with a second bedroom containing twin beds. There is also a third smaller bed or cot that can also be accommodated. There is an en suite bathroom with both bath and shower facilities.

One-Bedroom Family Apartment This family apartment provides a large living area with a kitchen and a dining table. Upstairs there is a double bed and 1 single bed, with wetroom and separate toilet. This room also benefits from a roof terrace. An extra childs bed or cot can also be accommodated.

One-Bedroom Family Apartment This one bedroom family apartment provides the a living area with a kitchenette, alongside a master bedroom with a double bed and an upstairs mezzanine bedroom for two children. The living room has views across the Derwent Valley. The kitchen offers a fridge, a microwave and a sink. It also includes a sofa and flat-screen TV.

Location

Embleton Spa Hotel & Apartments is situated in a fantastic location, perfect for exploring the North Lakes. The hotel is easy to find and has walks on the doorstep. The location offers stunning views, including overlooking the mountains and fells. It's a great location for accessing the Lake District and coast and only a 10-minute drive from Keswick. Guests can take advantage of the bus routes, which enabled them to visit main towns and leave the car at the hotel. Lovely views can be enjoyed from the restaurant. There are plenty of parking spaces and Wi-Fi is good. There are also some good walking trails directly from the hotel. The hotel is ideal for touring the North Lakes and perfect for walkers and cyclists. The location is peaceful with Lake District charm and is a hidden gem.

Breakfast

Guests have raved about the breakfast at Embleton Spa Hotel & Apartments, describing it as fresh, cooked to order and with enough choice. Some highlights included full English breakfast, pancakes, porridge, toast with jam or marmalade and fruit juice. Many guests found the breakfast to be excellent, superb and delicious and some even called it truly exceptional. Some breakfasts were brought to guests' rooms, while others were served buffet-style with a generous offering of pastries. A few guests were disappointed with missing items or long wait times. Nonetheless, the breakfast and evening meals were considered excellent with good value for money and quality ingredients. Overall, guests were impressed with the food, describing it as great, truly amazing and fantastic. The hotel's restaurant serves up delicious and well-presented meals with many guests commenting on the great staff, who are always available and very friendly. The winter menu offers good, interesting choices with some guests recommending the Sunday roast. Though the menu is small, the food is excellent and very reasonably priced. However, some guests did have to wait a little longer for their meals, but the wait was worth it with many describing the food as incredible and amazing. One thing to note is that dinner finishes at 8 pm, so make sure to book a table in advance. Overall, the dinner experience at Embleton Spa Hotel & Apartments is not to be missed.
