Situated on the banks of Loch Long, one of the magnificent sea lochs of Scotland, Knockderry House is a fabulous 4 Star 2 Rosette hotel near Loch Lomond and Helensburgh for relaxing, short breaks, weddings and small exclusive events.

With a reputation for excellent food and drink sources from quality local suppliers, Knockderry House provides guests with a welcoming and relaxing environment in which to escape, explore the area and celebrate.

Knockderry House offers a very special kind of escape. Every one of their 15 bedrooms is individually designed and equipped to provide their guests with all the ingredients of a perfect relaxing break away from it all. Built across the 19th-century main house and 21st-century extension, they all retain charm and character. The rooms are located over a couple of floors, taking in the nooks and crannies of the original house. There are several room categories to choose from to suit your style, budget or occasion.

Knockderry House is a dog-friendly hotel with four dog-friendly rooms. You and your best friend can relax in the hotel’s reception rooms (not including the restaurant) and they have a delightful small dining room in which you can dine with your furry friend by your side. The house is surrounded by stunning coastal walks and forest paths, energising hill walks and open countryside, perfect for a wide range of dog walks including some just by the hotel.

Owned and operated by Murdo and Beth Macleod and their staff with multiple awards for hospitality and quality of food, Knockderry House offers a truly Scottish country house welcome to all visitors to Cove and the Rosneath Peninsula near Loch Lomond.

Room Types

Superior King Room These are the principle rooms in the house on the first floor with views of Loch Long. These rooms feature a king-size bed, and have an en-suite bathroom with a roll-top bath and a shower, flat-screen TV, bathrobes, coffee machine, tea/coffee making facilities and complimentary Arran Aromatic toiletries.

King Room Featuring an en-suite bathroom with bath and shower, flat-screen TV, bathrobes, tea/coffee making facilities and complimentary Arran Aromatic toiletries. Please note that 3 out of the 4 King Rooms pictured are located in the new wing and all rooms have a selection of limited side, garden or loch facing views. All rooms are of varying styles and layout, no 2 rooms are the same.

Standard Double Room Situated in the main house, these rooms are on the first and second floors of the hotel and have limited views. These rooms are en-suite, with a bath and/or a shower, a flat-screen TV, bathrobes, coffee/tea making facilities and Arran Aromatics toiletries. Room views vary from side view of the garden, limited view over the hotel roof and frosted glass windows with no view.

Small Double Room These 2 smaller rooms are situated to the rear of the hotel and do not have a feature view, but they do have a flat-screen TV and an en-suite bathroom. Room 14 has a shower room. Room 10 has a bathroom with shower over the bath. Both rooms have limited views over the hotel. Rooms include Arran Aromatics toiletries, bathrobes, Egyptian cotton bed linen, tea/coffee making facilities.
