While the hotel's bar stock ran low during one guest's stay, the variety of entertainment on offer throughout the local area more than made up for it. The downside to staying in such a lively area, however, is that it can be noisy, particularly during events downstairs in the hotel. Despite this, guests still highly recommend booking local restaurants in advance during the weekend. Overall, the location of The Metropole Hotel Cork is excellent with loads of bars and places to eat on the same street, perfect for a weekend trip or attending the film festival.
