The proximity to the city centre also makes the hotel an ideal base for exploring the Cotswolds. The hotel is situated where there are plenty of things going on and it is perfect for a shopping trip as it is ideal to park up and walk to town in 10 minutes. The location was a key factor for many guests who found it convenient with available parking nearby. The staff are super friendly and the breakfast is amazing. The area boasts of many fine restaurants for an evening meal with many of them within easy walking distance. Guests couldn't recommend this guesthouse enough and it is certainly a great find for anyone looking for a good, convenient central location in Cheltenham.

Although some guests found the bathrooms a little small, they were exceptionally clean with powerful showers and plenty of hot water. The standard of furniture is charming and modern and rooms are very quiet, making it a perfect place to relax. Overall, the fantastic, attentive staff and the lovely clean rooms make The Portland Guesthouse great value for money and guests would definitely stay again when in Cheltenham.
