Location

Cheltenham Chase Hotel & Spa is highly praised by guests for its great location, conveniently situated for easy access to nearby attractions and main roads. The hotel is ideally placed on the edge of the Cotswolds and just 15 minutes away from Cheltenham town centre with a nearby bus stop that takes guests straight there. The surroundings are pleasant with beautiful scenery and free parking in abundance. The location is especially perfect for those attending races in the area and the leisure facilities are great. Guests highly recommend the hotel and would stay again. Overall, Cheltenham Chase Hotel & Spa is an ideal location with fantastic facilities.

Breakfast

The breakfast at the Cheltenham Chase Hotel & Spa has received mixed reviews. While some guests have praised the variety of options and excellent value for money, others have found the food to be below par and repetitive. The buffet-style breakfast offers multiple choices, including full English, fresh fruit and gluten-free options, but some items were not being topped up regularly. The breakfast space is clean and spacious with beautiful views, but some guests have reported the need to wait for items and chaotic service due to a lack of staff. Overall, the breakfast has its pros and cons and while it may not suit everyone's taste, it is still reasonably priced and offers a good selection of food.

Dinner

The dinner experience at Cheltenham Chase Hotel & Spa is somewhat mixed, as reviews are divided between positive and negative feedback. Some guests compliment the tasty food served in the restaurant, while others criticize the poor range and limited choices in the menu. Some guests also express disappointment upon finding out that the restaurant was closed for Christmas parties, despite booking in advance. The waiting time between courses is also a common complaint and some guests note that the staff were not friendly or accommodating. The quality of the food is also brought into question with overcooked steak and dry chicken being mentioned. However, there are still guests who appreciate the superb food served in the restaurant during dinner and breakfast. While there is still room for improvement in terms of menu choices and service, the dining experience at Cheltenham Chase Hotel & Spa can still be enjoyed by those who appreciate good food.

Rooms

Guests have praised the Cheltenham Chase Hotel & Spa for its big and spacious rooms, describing them as comfortable, spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated with modern contemporary designs. The beds are extremely comfortable and the bathrooms are very nice with toiletries and powerful showers. However, some guests have found that the room felt tired and needed attention with outdated facilities in need of repair and basic cleaning that could be better. Some guests have also encountered issues like not getting the room they booked or having no heating. Despite this, the hotel is generally clean throughout and there are plenty of parking spaces available. Guests enjoy a good location, varied hot and cold breakfast options and big car park. Leisure facilities could use some refurbishing, but the rooms are overall spacious, comfortable and clean, making for a relaxed atmosphere with good air conditioning.

Beds

If you're planning a trip to Cheltenham, you won't want to miss out on a stay at Cheltenham Chase Hotel & Spa. The hotel boasts some of the most comfortable beds you'll ever sleep in with guests raving about how comfy they were. The bedding was compared to sleeping on a cloud and even those who prefer firmer pillows found themselves sleeping soundly. Guests enjoyed the spacious rooms with some commenting on the luxurious king-sized beds. However, there were a few negative comments about uncomfortable beds that felt like water beds, had no support or were too hard. Despite this, most guests had one of their most comfortable nights' sleep ever. The hotel decor is stylish and the staff are helpful. Plus, in the midst of a heatwave, the air conditioning was a welcome relief. Don't forget to take advantage of the pool during your stay. Overall, the Cheltenham Chase Hotel & Spa is a great choice for a comfortable, stylish and well-priced stay in Cheltenham.

Cleanliness

Cheltenham Chase Hotel & Spa is an excellent option for travelers who value cleanliness above all. The hotel shines for its clean and airy rooms, spotless overall appearance, lovely and fresh bedding and linens. Cleanliness is a top priority for the staff, reflected in guests' comments on the cleanliness of the hotel, including the lovely and clean decor, modern and cozy furniture and well-furnished and spacious rooms. Unfortunately, the hotel had a couple of guests who were disappointed with the cleanliness of their rooms, having found dirt marks on walls, dirty bathrooms and even toe nails on the floor. However, these few complaints are strongly outweighed by the countless positive comments on the hotel's overall cleanliness and staff friendliness. The hotel facilities are great and must be highlighted and rooms were very clean and comfortable. The hotel indeed maintains a very good condition and is fresh and clean throughout. Still, there is some inconsistency with comments indicating a few areas outside that require maintenance, such as the outdoor furniture in need of some paint. Despite this, guests can expect a superb, well-priced and very clean stay at Cheltenham Chase Hotel & Spa.

Staff

The staff at Cheltenham Chase Hotel & Spa are a mixed bag, but overall, they are friendly, helpful and attentive. Some guests noted a shortage of staff, which may explain why some had difficulty getting someone to answer the phone at reception. However, those who did interact with staff found them to be polite, respectful and eager to assist. Unfortunately, a few guests also encountered staff who were un-welcoming or grumpy, but these instances were in the minority. Additionally, some guests experienced issues with staff outside of the hotel, such as spa staff eating on massage beds or kitchen staff gossiping about COVID on shift. However, many guests had only good experiences with staff and they praised their friendliness, professionalism and willingness to go above and beyond to make guests happy. Overall, while there were some issues with customer service, the staff's positive attitude and helpfulness made for a generally pleasant stay at this hotel.

Spa

If you enjoy a relaxing spa experience during your stay, you'll be pleased to know that Cheltenham Chase Hotel & Spa has one to offer. The spa is a favourite among guests with many mentioning the swimming pool, sauna and jacuzzi as standout features. While some reviews mention cold water in the pool and issues with the jacuzzi not working, overall, the spa facilities are described as good and well-maintained. There are adult-only swim times for those looking for some peace and quiet and the spa area also includes a steam room and changing rooms. While some guests do comment on the spa being on the small side, most are happy with the facilities available. It's worth noting, however, that a few reviews mention the spa area needing renovation and there are some complaints of children running wild in adult-only areas. Despite this, if you're looking for a comfortable hotel with spa facilities for your stay, this might be a good choice for you.

Pool

The Cheltenham Chase Hotel & Spa offers a great stay complete with the use of their swimming pool facilities, including the sauna and jacuzzi. The pool itself is a bit on the cold side for some, but still a great bonus. Families with kids will enjoy the swimming pool for kids, but some guests had negative experiences with noisy kids in the pool area. Although some reviews noted a staff member being a bit rude, most found the pool and spa facilities to be good and even fabulous. Some guests were disappointed that the jacuzzi was a bit murky, but overall, the lovely pool and jacuzzi were enjoyed by many guests. Keep in mind that some reviews noted that there were no pool facilities or that the swimming facilities weren't available during their stay, so it's probably best to confirm availability with the hotel before booking for the pool alone.

Parking

If you're looking for a hotel with convenient parking, look no further than Cheltenham Chase Hotel & Spa. The car park is big with plenty of spaces and best of all, parking is free! Ample parking spaces mean you won't have to worry about finding a spot for your vehicle. However, if you have an electric car and require charging, be aware that the electric car charging point might not be working. While there are limited EV charging options, this comfortable hotel has lovely peaceful grounds with fruit trees to enjoy during your stay. All in all, if you're driving to Cheltenham, parking at Cheltenham Chase Hotel & Spa shouldn't be a concern.

Family

Cheltenham Chase Hotel & Spa offers a comfortable ground floor room suitable for those traveling with their furry friends, as the hotel is dog friendly and provides accommodations for them free of charge. The hotel also caters to families with the option to add an extra bed or baby cot, although some guests found the hotel not suitable for family stays due to the behaviour of other guests, possibly due to coach groups. However, many enjoyed their stay with friends and family, appreciating the room size and space for children to play. The hotel is located conveniently for families eager to explore the Cotswolds or as a pit stop for those looking to break their journey. Families seeking a leisurely stay with activities for kids will find Cheltenham Chase Hotel & Spa an ideal vacation spot.

4 Star

The Cheltenham Chase Hotel & Spa is a decent 4-star hotel that offers a relaxed and welcoming vibe to all its guests. While some guests noted that the rooms were in need of repair and basic cleaning could be better, others found their rooms to be a good size and appreciated the fridge in the room. The staff were friendly and welcoming with some individuals standing out for their exceptional service. However, there were a few cases where guests felt unwelcome upon arrival. The hotel offers a 14m pool and is pet-friendly, which suited those who were travelling with their furry friends. Despite some negative reviews, many guests found the hotel to be very nice with many benefits and facilities. However, there were a few instances where guests noted issues with their bookings or overcharging on their credit card. Overall, the Cheltenham Chase Hotel & Spa is a decent 4-star hotel that provides a comfortable stay for those who are looking for a relaxed vibe and good facilities.
