Location

Cumberland Resort & Spa boasts an excellent location in the heart of Norfolk Island. Guests can easily walk to shops, clubs and restaurants, making it perfect for those who want to experience the local culture. The resort is centrally located, close to Burnt Pine shops and many of the restaurants. It is also a fantastic base for exploring the island with easy access to the town and facilities such as groceries and dining. Despite being a little far from the beach by walking distance, Cumberland Spa is still conveniently located near the town centre. While there is no public transport on the island, the resort can order a taxi for guests. It would be great if the resort provided bikes or scooters for guests or offered drop-in drop-off services to the beach, as snorkeling and swimming are the main activities on the island. Overall, the central location of the hotel is great, allowing guests to walk to shops, restaurants and cafes. The rooms at Cumberland Resort & Spa have all the amenities necessary for a comfortable stay on the island.

Breakfast

The Cumberland Resort & Spa offers a range of delightful features and welcoming details, including a thoughtful breakfast pack for guests. While breakfast is not always included, the resort provides a basket or starter pack with items like fresh eggs, bread and milk to get your day started right. Some guests even received their first morning's breakfast, complete with toast and jams, free of charge. Rooms

Cumberland Resort & Spa offers spacious and clean apartments with plenty of room for privacy and comfort. While some rooms are older and dated, there are newer ones available that guests recommend securing. The self-contained units are well equipped for cooking and have spa facilities in the bathrooms. Beds are comfortable and showers are hot. Some guests did notice a musty smell in the rooms on occasion and noise from the main road can be an issue. Additionally, there is no daily room service. However, the 3-bedroom apartments offer ample space and the White House goes above and beyond expectations with its extensive selection of appliances and gadgets. Overall, guests recommend Cumberland Resort & Spa for a lovely and comfortable stay.
