The building in which the hotel is housed today dates back to 1873, when it operated as a coffee shop. A few years later, the coffee shop changed management and some rooms for travellers were also added, being renamed into Hotel and Pension de la Gare. The hotel changed owners and names once again in the 1930s, acquiring the name it still has today. After many extensive restorations, Hotel Seiler au Lac came to the possession of its current owners who invested time and money to create a comfortable and cosy space where guests can truly relax and feel at home.

The rooms are cozy and nice with majestic lake views from the balcony. Bönigen, the small community where the hotel is located, is calm and surrounded by beautiful scenery with a pleasant walk into the city. This location is unmatchable with easy access to all fun activities around the lake. The hotel offers excellent service and it is a brilliant base for anything and everything you wanted to do around the region.
