Bar Harbor Inn and Spa boasts the best location in Bar Harbor according to guest reviews. Situated on the water's edge, guests can enjoy phenomenal views of the harbor from their rooms and balconies. The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to everything including the shops, restaurants and bars in town, as well as the entrance to Acadia National Park. Despite its proximity to everything, the hotel offers a private and serene location away from the crowds and noise. The grounds are large and perfect for seaside walks and the gardens are especially beautiful. Guests highly recommend securing a room with water views for an even better experience.

Breakfast

If you're looking for a delicious breakfast during your stay at Bar Harbor Inn and Spa, you won't be disappointed! Many guests have raved about the amazing continental breakfast on offer. With a wide variety of options available, you're sure to find something to suit your tastes. Whether you're looking for healthy and tasty breakfast options or just something to fill you up, there's plenty to choose from. Plus, there are even vegan options available!

While some guests noted that the breakfast was aging or sub par, many others had nothing but positive things to say about the quality selections of pastries, fruits and drinks. Guests raved about the quality, presentation and selection of their meals in both the Dining Room and the Reading Room, where they dined while watching the sunset. The patio was also a favorite spot with great food and attentive staff. The elegant atmosphere with sea views was a highlight of the dining experience. Unfortunately, there were some negative experiences, such as overpriced meals, disappointing interactions with the hostess and seater and one night of horrible food on the Terrace. Overall, the restaurant is a must-visit for anyone staying at this lovely hotel.

From the front desk to the restaurant staff, service was prompt and excellent with everyone accommodating our plans well. The Oasis Bar and Reading Room restaurant had excellent food and service and the guest registration process was awesome. Special mentions go out to Jamal and David at the front desk, who were exceptional at check-in and always responsive to our needs. Although some guests experienced a cultural disconnect with a few staff members, this was not the case with the majority who found the staff to be courteous, helpful and sociable. The concierge was a bit out of her space and the wait staff in the dining room appeared overwhelmed and short-staffed. Despite these small issues, the staff at the Bar Harbor Inn and Spa were outstanding, attentive and responsive to all requests and safety protocols, making for a truly great experience.
