Its central location is great with walking distance to most places such as parks, museums and palaces. Guests have also enjoyed the view of the surrounding greenery and the Bangalore palace in the backdrop. The location has been described as excellent with some guests choosing to stay close to Mount Carmel College. Although there were some concerns about the entrance being on a slope for security checks, the hotel's cleanliness and friendly staff more than made up for it. Lastly, the 23rd floor bar is a must-visit spot for guests. Overall, the hotel's location and structure provided a positive experience for guests staying in the heart of the city.

As for the food, the South Indian dishes are the best in town with dosa and idlies being exceptional. Room preferences were well taken care of and the facilities in the room were also great. The concierge, Ajit Anurag, was singled out for his reliable and fast solutions. The hotel's view of Bangalore city from the 17th floor was breathtaking with high-speed wifi connectivity. Although there were a few complaints about staff responsiveness and restaurant service quality, the hotel still maintained its exceptional and superb rating. The Shangri-La Bengaluru is a five-star escape with amazing facilities, services and an awesome experience.
