Former Castle Hotel
Located in Northumberland, this castle was originally built in the 14th century to guard against attacks, mainly from the Scots. In the 19th century, a local historian bought the property and took actions to restore it to its former glory. The castle has also been used as barracks for the military during World War II, as well as a school for girls before becoming the hotel that it is today.
